Union Minister of MoPSW, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal held a bilateral meeting with GoV Norway to discuss cooperation in the maritime sector and to use green ammonia and hydrogen.
- Alternative Fuels – The Ministers discussed use of alternative fuels like hydrogen and green ammonia.
- Zero Emission – Both countries reiterated to implement zero emission solutions in ports and shipping sector.
- Blue Economy – MoPSW participated in 5th India-Norway Task Force on Blue Economy in June 2022.
- GreenVoyage2050 – India-Norway and IMO launched Green Voyage 2050 in May 2019 aiming to transform the shipping industry towards a lower carbon future.
